Second Step Program - A structured, school-based violence prevention program designed for students from pre-K to 8th grade at selected Tuscaloosa City and County schools. The program's primary goal is to reduce students' aggressive and impulsive behaviors by teaching empathy skills, anger management and conflict resolution, as well as problem-solving and decision-making strategies. The Second Step Program for middle school students also focuses on the growing concerns regarding bullying and substance abuse.
