If you're expecting your first child, you'll want to do everything possible to prepare for motherhood. Child Abuse Prevention Services offers a Nurturing Baby Program to teach expectant mothers how to prevent SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) and SBS (Shaken Baby Syndrome). Our SIDS and SBS prevention programs are available in the Tuscaloosa, Alabama area.
We recommend this program for pregnant women in their third trimester or mothers with children less than six months old. Contact us today for more information.
How does the program work?
Our program has multiple steps. When you decide to join our SIDS and SBS prevention program, you will:
- Meet with a group of other expectant mothers
- Watch a video on how to prevent SIDS and SBS
- Engage in a group discussion about the topic
- Review written materials and information
- Participate in a hands-on crib assembly demonstration
At the end of the program, you can take home a free Graco Pack 'n Play crib.
